This ebony is very dense, hard and black. Any soundboard works well with this wood but choose a European Spruce for fingerstyle. Will have fat trebles and great overall bass.
This ebony is from Southeast Asia and has similar tonal characteristics to the Indian Ebony but has beautiful chocolate and lighter browns. A very showy wood that sounds good too!
