Mahogany is an all around great tone wood for an acoustic guitar. With great overall balance, it responds well to a flat-pick, strum or finger-style. It differs from woods like the rosewoods in that it doesn’t have quite the brightness to trebles. The Sinker Mahogany is a bit denser than the others and makes a great overall acoustic guitar with nice fat trebles and great mids and bass.
The 3 Fiddleback Mahogany sets are the original sets acquired from Hibdon in 2015 from what they called their “Fallen Giant”. Mottle Figure (#04,#05) is a very rare an unusual figure. Note the two Mottle sets are for a 00 or smaller body. Set #02 is some very rare quilted mahogany. Its not “The Tree” but it is the same type of figure.
