OM-CMT Sinker Redwood/Cocobolo (Matt Thomas Signature Model)

This OM-CMT has may unique features, including triple laminated sides, sound-port, arm-bevel and a unique Thomas Wedge on the back for comfort. Sinker Redwood is voiced for a smooth bass and dynamic range all across the spectrum, particularly in the mid-range. Great fat trebles that blossom and this guitar responds well to both a light touch but with plenty of headroom if you want to drive it. This guitar was shown at Fretboard Summit 2024 in Chicago and was a huge hit!

German Spruce is a very active top and is voiced for dynamic range all across the spectrum, particularly in the mid-range. Great fat trebles that blossom and this guitar responds well to both a light touch but with plenty of headroom if you want to drive it.

This guitar was co-designed by Jeff and Matt to be a solo performance instrument that would be at home in the recording studio, as well as on stage. Huge tone, long sustain and massive dynamic range are all qualities of Matt’s outstanding playing, and Jeff has created a guitar that is a pinnacle of versatility.

This 000 has the same body and shape of an OM, but with a short scale (24.9″) fingerboard. This makes it very easy to play, even in drop tunings. The Engelmann top gives it warnth and immediancy while the Sinker Mahogany emphasizes the mid-range.  Features laminared sides framed in falme maple which continues up the fretboard.

This OM-C has the classic tonal palette of Mahogany paired with a Euro Spruce which is strong in the mid-range and treble’s. OM-C Sinker Mahogany/ German Spruce – Available from Cedar Rock Studios, Shelburne, IN 

This OM-C features Sinker Mahogany that’s regarded as a cross between standard Mahogany and Rosewood, due to its higher density. And triple laminated sides give this guitar structural and tonal stiffness, which drives more energy to the top. Plus a sound-port gives the player a bit more sound to better monitor their playing. Classic Jewitt styling includes figured Cocobolo binding, fretboard and peghead plus Gold EVO frets. Setup and voiced for fingerstyle but will behave quite nicely with a flat-pick.

This OM size guitar is in the “Artist” Series and features Brazilian Rosewood and  5A Premium Grade Torrefied Adirondack Red Spruce. The guitar is framed in Figured Koa and features Ebony for the Fretboard, The Bridge and Face plate are Brazilian Rosewood. Gold EVO frets with Gotoh Gold 510 tuners add a dramatic touch. The styling and design of this guitar is quite simple but elegant.
