Sycamore is in the same family as maple and has clean trebles and great mid-range. The bass is mellow and smooth. Hover in closely and you can see the delicate ray-fleck that resembles snake-skin. A beautiful wood with lots of character. Traditional use is for Flamenco guitars but makes a great steel string.
